Portrait of Giorgio Vasari

Copied from the original Museum Editorial design study. The preserved source record identifies a portrait attributed to Jacopo Zucchi, at the Uffizi Gallery, via Web Gallery of Art / Wikimedia Commons. Its filename and older title call it a self-portrait. We preserve that conflict and use “historical portrait,” not “self-portrait,” in the mockup.

The recorded Commons page marks the underlying work PD-old-100-expired and the reproduction PD-Art. This is a source assessment, not legal clearance or museum endorsement; the source notes jurisdiction-specific reuse considerations. The design crops and desaturates the reproduction without generating or altering the face.

Parchment

Original deterministic procedural texture made locally with Pillow for the first editorial revision. No scanned historical document or third-party texture is used.

Typography

Cormorant Garamond and Manrope, served locally. SIL Open Font License texts and source URLs are included.

This work-in-progress mockup contains no guide downloads or installation flow. Code uses the MIT license; original documentation uses CC BY 4.0. Images and fonts retain their separate terms above.
